Parthenonas Village – Traditional attraction

Halkidiki is renowned for its beautiful beaches and great turquoise sea waters but there is more than that. Its mountainous villages are definitely worth visiting. One of them is the village of Parthenon, located at hills of mountain Itamus, which had only five hundred inhabitants and was abandoned during the 70s. Nowadays the whole village has been restored based on its traditional Macedonian architecture. The vernacular houses blend in with the mountainous natural surrounding combined with the necessary hosting infrastructure including Greek cafes and restaurants should be your first choice of visiting. And the best part is, that it is less than fifteen driving distance from our hotel.
